Protecting pollinators and supporting biodiversity
Dr. Jane Goodall’s Pollinator Garden
Located at Terra, Jane Goodall’s Pollinator Garden is a unique ecological sanctuary dedicated to protecting pollinators and supporting biodiversity. Its journey began in 2019 with the discovery of a small colony of 2,000 UAE-native "Apis mellifera bees". Today, the garden is home to more than 30,000 bees across two thriving hives, surrounded by a pollinator-friendly ecosystem designed to help native species flourish. Created in partnership with Dr Jane Goodall, the garden invites visitors to discover the essential role pollinators play in maintaining healthy, resilient ecosystems.

100 Hives, 100 Schools
Building on the garden’s impact, Terra’s 100 Hives, 100 Schools initiative aims to install beehives in 100 schools across the UAE. Through hands-on learning, students explore the importance of bees, biodiversity and environmental stewardship while gaining a closer understanding of the natural world. The programme empowers young people to take meaningful action within their schools and communities, nurturing a new generation committed to protecting and restoring the environment.
