Come and gaze at my iconic canopy, visible from across Expo City Dubai. My sleek solar panels are just one of my many net-zero energy and water innovations. Take a stroll through my thriving botanical gardens and exhale. You're sure to fall in love with nature here. Step inside. My labyrinth of immersive exhibits will activate your senses.

Although Mother Nature is 4.5 billion years old, I am slightly younger. I was only an idea back when the UAE won the historic bid to host Expo 2020 Dubai. Since then, I have become Expo City Dubai's centrepiece for sustainable actions, eco-friendly innovations and community engagement.

There's a lot more to me than meets the eye. Come and feel the wonder, lose yourself in awe and find your own unique way to make a difference to our planet.

As a LEED Platinum rated building has many sustainable systems integrated into its operations. Including:

12,000sqm of solar panels produce up to 4 GwH of energy per year

Greywater and blackwater recycling/re-use resulting in 75% reduction in water use

Condensate water harvesting produces up to 3000 liters of water per day

Three stream waste recycling/diversion and onsite composting

Integrated reedbed systems for wastewater treatment

Smart monitoring systems for building performance management and reporting

Terra's botanical garden is set on a 29,000 sqm plot and highlights the importance of nature-based solutions in urban environments.

Our landscape is home to more than 100 native plant species that enhance soil health and provide critical habitats for local wildlife to thrive.

Along with a green terrace, Terra’s landscape creates a microclimate. The cooler temperature reduces the ‘urban heat island’ effect, and therefore the building’s cooling requirements.
